Interior finishing wood

This category includes wooden elements that had a first life as interior finishing and are sold for reuse as such. Old wooden floor and wall paneling are frequently reused, mainly out of an appreciation for their aesthetics, but also because of the quality of the products. Old wooden floors in particular are a true classic in the reuse market and are popular all over Western Europe.

Other wooden elements, from other applications, can also be used for interior applications. For this, see the category Finishing wood.

Common products

Solid wood floors

Parquet flooring in solid wood is often found in homes and public buildings. Historically, a wide range of wood species have been used for parquet and plank flooring, from pine to oak and tropical hardwood, all of which are available on the market to various extents. Their disassembly and reuse depend on their original installation method and their commercial value. There are various treatments for making recovered parquet ready for use again. These all have an impact on the final price, which can vary from similar to new equivalents to a lot more expensive.
