Some specialist operators are prone to buying technical equipment from industrial and other large buildings. During a demolition project, it is therefore useful to assess the reuse potential for large installations like heat pumps, emergency generators or compressors.
All of these pieces of equipment have the advantage of being fitted with a data plate, enabling easy identification of the model and its main technical characteristics. In some cases, these installations have a logbook containing useful information about their maintenance. They can even still be under a maintenance contract. It is then possible to transfer this contract at the same time as the machine itself.
Some salvage dealers also offer smaller technical equipment for sale, such as electrical switchboards, fire hoses and air-conditioning units. These elements can be useful and cheap for new projects.
The reuse of technical installations (on extraction or implementation) is often possible for the following elements:
- Emergency diesel generators
- Heat pumps
- Electrical panels
- Fire hoses
- Emergency lighting
- Water pumps
Some companies offer the refurbishing of industrial equipment such as emergency generators and heat pumps.
