The yard is based five minutes north of the town of Hertford, on a large plot that is also home to Tree Heritage, a hedging, tree and plant nursery. The idea to establish V & V Reclamation came about when Jason, its founder, reclaimed a very large amount of antique Yorkstone paving from the East lawn of the British Museum. With limited space at his London yard, he had asked his friend Ed from Tree Heritage if there was any space to store the materials. While the Yorkstone was stored at Tree Heritage, Ed had received a large number of enquiries about it from those visiting the nursery - the demand had led them to realise that the site would be a great location to showcase and to sell reclaimed building materials.

V & V now stocks an expansive range of building materials and antiques, including bricks, doors, gates, railings, bathroom fittings, floor tiles, cast iron radiators, Victorian garden fixtures and many more. They also hold an impressive stock of reclaimed stone in the south of England, including riven Yorkstone and sawn Yorkstone flagstones and paving.

V & V Reclamation has also been involved with a number of salvage jobs in prestigious buildings, including the salvaging of the Baltic Exchange building, which turned out to be the largest architectural salvage project in Europe since that of the original London Bridge. Additional services on offer include nationwide delivery and installation of select materials.
