Historisk Tegl AS is a reclamation yard situated in the picturesque city of Fredrikstad about an hours drive from Oslo. As Fredrikstad is an old industrial port-town, the inventory mainly trace back to local factories and buildings from the 19th or 20th century.The company is run solely by full time employe, Martin. 

Historisk Tegl AS specialises in historic Norwegian materials like bricks, cobblestone, Norwegian granite and roof tiles. In addition to Norwegian roof tiles, they also carry Swedish and Dutch roof tiles that were often imported to costal cities of east-Norway in the 20th century. They also carry a wide range of material like doors, windows, ceramic pipes, wood floors, sinks and bathtubs. 

The company focuses on preservation and salvage of good quality materials and they willingly explain material sourcing and educate on methods of craftsmanship. Materials are cleaned but left with a layer of patina. The materials are priced on terms of historical value, rarity and labour costs. One pallet of tiles varies in price from 2000-4000 per pallet (200-400 pounds).They do not promote the company online, however they can be reached through ads on finn.no or through an existing personal connection. Most of the clients are interior-architects, historically interested or DIY-ers.
