Solid wood floors

Parquet flooring in solid wood is often found in homes and public buildings. Historically, a wide range of wood species have been used for parquet and plank flooring, from pine to oak and tropical hardwood, all of which are available on the market to various extents. Their disassembly and reuse depend on their original installation method and their commercial value. There are various treatments for making recovered parquet ready for use again. These all have an impact on the final price, which can vary from similar to new equivalents to a lot more expensive.

Parquet and plank flooring is mainly offered by specialised companies that can take care of the reclamation, the necessary operations and the installation. Not infrequently, however, wooden floor boards are also available from demolition contractors. In the latter case, it is often necessary to further prepare the boards themselves for correct installation.
