Gerrit Kersbergen started selling old building materials in 1983. Twenty years later, new natural stone floors were added to the range and a showroom was set up in a former glassworks. Today, the range consists of a mix of new and old construction elements.

With regard to recovered materials, Kersbergen specialises in the sale of typically local South Holland bricks and flagstones (fired tiles). The range of bricks consists more specifically of the Ijselsteen, Rijnsteen, Waalsteen and Vechsteen varieties. These are professionally cleaned on site and made ready for laying again. The classic flagstones, available in various sizes and types, come from farms and warehouses in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. In addition to selling bricks and flagstones, a wide range of roof tiles can also be found there, as well as a number of materials that are gradually becoming rare on the re-use market, such as the large “Kloostermop” bricks.
