The project
The Watt project is a venue dedicated to the practice of circus and street arts, for use by the general public and professional companies. The project involves converting the interior of an existing building. Right from the design phase, Citymix's architects undertook research into reuse materials and adapted the contract documents to maximise reuse in the project. Many elements of the project come from other building sites, such as the metal staircase and walkways, sanitary fittings, kitchen furniture, etc. Delivered in 2023, it was awarded a special "Coup de Coeur" mention by the jury at the Trophées nationaux des Bâtiments Circulaires 2023 ceremony organised by Construction 21 and the Booster du Réemploi, in the "Circular Design" category.
